MoonPress Chat's useful core is free forever and needs no MoonPress Chat account or license. You connect a supported AI provider and that provider bills its own usage directly.

    Install MoonPress Chat in WordPress

    Download the package. In WordPress admin, open Plugins, choose Add New Plugin, then Upload Plugin. Select the ZIP, install it, and activate MoonPress Chat.

    Requires WordPress 6.2 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer.

    Add the public setup skill

    Run the open skills installer in your local terminal. It supports Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and other agents in the open skills ecosystem. The current installer requires Node.js 22.20 or newer.

    Start a new turn in your local AI agent

    Open the folder where you want the setup records saved, start a new agent turn, and use only the public WordPress site URL. Never put a WordPress password, provider key, Application Password, token, reset link, or secret URL in the prompt.
